Practices
Regional teams (10s-12s)
Starting end of January until OVR Championships in April/May
Two 1.5 hour practices a week (typically Tuesdays or Wednesdays between hours of 6-9pm and Sunday afternoon/evenings)
A week when a tournament is scheduled -- there will only be one practice
Practices will be held either at The Keith Wygant Fieldhouse, Ashland Middle School, or Ashland High School
Regional teams (13s-17s)
Starting the first or second week of January until OVR Championships in April/May
Two 1.5-2 hour practices a week (typically Wednesdays or Thursdays and Sundays between hours of 6-9pm and Sunday afternoon/evenings)

American teams (14s-17s)
Starting the first or second week of December until OVR Championships in April/May
Two 1.5-2 hour practices a week (typically Wednesdays or Thursday and Sundays between hours of 6-9pm and Sunday afternoon/evenings)
Additional positional training practice 2x a month (first and third Tuesday)
Practices will be held either at The Keith Wygant Fieldhouse, Ashland Middle School, or Ashland High School
*ALL TEAMS AND PLAYERS WILL ABIDE BY PRACTICE ATTENDANCE POLICY: MISSING MORE THAN TWO TOURNAMENTS AND/OR FIVE PRACTICES WILL REQUIRE AVBC LEADERSHIP TEAM INTERVENTION AND MAY RESULT IN DISMISSAL FROM THE TEAM WITHOUT REFUND.

6 play dates including OVR Championships (ex. 1 - two day tournament, 3 - one day tournaments, OVR Championships)
Tournament schedules will be determined by each coach with hopes to be finalized in late October
Coaches are encouraged to enter tournaments within an hour and half travel radius depending on tournament availability
Regional teams (13s-17s)
Season runs January - April/May
8 play dates including OVR Championships (ex. 2 - two day tournaments, 3 - one day tournaments, OVR Championships)
Tournament schedules will be determined by each coach with hopes to be finalized in late October
Coaches are encouraged to enter tournaments within an hour and half travel radius depending on tournament availability
American teams (14s-17s)
Season runs December - April/May
12 play dates including OVR Championships (ex. 1 - three day tournament, 4 - two day tournaments, OVR Championships OR 6 - two day tournaments)
any additional tournaments will be at families expense
Tournament schedules will be determined by each coach with hopes to be finalized by end of September

Cost
Regional teams (10s-12s)
Club Fee: $700 to AVBC
Gear Fee: $100-$150 to 431Sports (may use uniforms from 25-26 season)
Regional teams (13s-17s)
Club Fee: $900 to AVBC
Gear Fee: $150-$200 to 431Sports (may use uniforms from 25-26 season)
American teams (14s-17s)
Club Fee: $1,250 to AVBC
Gear Fee: $200-$250 to 431Sports (may use uniforms from 25-26 season with addition of 1 new jersey)
Club Fee covers the essential costs to run a full season—like practices, tournament fees (increased 2025), coaching, and operations.
Any additional tournaments added to a teams schedule will be at the cost of the athletes families.
Club Fee will be paid online through athletes PlayMetrics account.
Gear Fee covers the require uniforms and team gear for the season. Gear Fee will be paid separately to our partners, 431 Sports.
What if I play other sports?
Club volleyball is a significant financial and time commitment and should be treated as such. We will make every effort to schedule practices around prior known athletic commitments. Ashland Volleyball Club understands the importance of school activities: therefore, school activities are considered equal importance to Regional level club teams. However, our teams require dedication on the part of the athlete for the team to be a success. This means that missed practices could result in forfeiture of playing time.
